Ding Xian is Si Yue’s new neighbor and classmate at school. They also happen to sit next to each other in class. Ding Xian is an introvert. She is timid but can be very determined once she decides on a course of action. She also likes to draw and has a talent for it. Her father is a teacher at her school. Her mother is a housewife and a very strict parent. Ding Xian also has a mischievous younger brother, Ding Jun Cong. Supporting Characters Song Zi Qi Well, the romance was a bit slow burn but it didn’t make the story less interesting. In fact, I was enjoying Zhou Si Yue and Ding Xian’s interactions in high school. Their characters were lovable and cute. I think both the leads did a great job in portraying their characters. Chen Zhe Yuan seems like a natural fit as Si Yue with his smirks and air of indifference. Si Yue’s character is not cold and arrogant but neither is he friendly and warm. He is somewhere in between. Chen Zhe Yuan manages to give Si Yue this balance so that he appears just like the typical boy next door.

One or two episodes dedicated to them is all I need after all this hustle and bustle about Zhou Si Yue and Ding Xian. There were no junior high school friends mentioned, except for her senior or childhood friend or neighbor, Su Bo Cong.

Ding Xian also joined the same research project group, just to be near him. She forced herself to be with him, and she lost herself along the way. Zhou Si Yue noticed that. Hence, he tried to make her understand by rejecting her over and over again, even making it difficult for her during the research project. But he failed…😅 Senior Su is Ding Xian’s senior at school. They come from the same hometown and have known each other for a long time. He is always helpful towards Ding Xian and cares a lot about her. You Ke Ke It was super smooth for both of them. No parent’s disagreement or rejection. The only thing that they have to handle is a pot of porridge made by Mrs. Ding…😂 The Conclusion eps seem too short for the first time! "Our Secret" is a drama with a good plot, lovable characters and excellent acting. the actors in this drama aren't that famous (edit: this was before hidden love) but their acting is really good; definitely how a high schooler would behave, in my opinion. it's fast paced with little or no filler scenes so overall it was a good watch. it felt so nostalgic (even tho I haven't finished my high school yet). Ding Xian is an obedient child. She took her mother’s words seriously and really cared for her father. She also cares for her younger brother even though he’s a bit annoying to me…😝

Our Secret is a Chinese romance drama, released in 2021. The story was focusing on Ding Xian’s life, and the conflicts around her. The Storytelling: The Sweet Formula.Zhou Si Yue and Ding Xian’s high school days are filled with 曖昧 ( ai-mei) – a relationship more intimate than friends. He’s forward and she’s shy; they always find a way to communicate their misunderstandings. Halfway through the drama, our relationship flips! It’s Ding Xian actively pursuing Zhou Si Yue, slaughtering his tender heart with her cute bravery. Last third of the drama, the drama flips again and it’s Zhou Si Yue pursuing Ding Xian! I don’t see how a romance drama can fail when both of them are so cute and so active and so flirtatious in their pursuit of one another. Rainbow Xu is not an experienced actress but she is still able to make Ding Xian looks timid and introverted as required. She captures the essence of the character with the way she speaks and her mannerisms. Thus, both of them provide viewers with very realistic characters with the way they depict their roles. Their chemistry as a high school couple is evident in the drama. There is no skinship given that they are students then but their interactions are sweet and cute to give off a feeling of an innocent romance. Well-Written Characters
