I listened to this on audiobook book and it was great and I loved how they had a male and a female narrator from the different perspective and the male narrator was incredible, and the female. Ben Coleman left his hometown and the family business that should have been his to pursue his true passion: art and tattooing. The Protector by Morgan Elizabeth} - was a little “meh” on this one because I don’t love when the MMC makes his fear about the FMC’s safety her problem. It is a full-length romance with a Happily Ever After that features sexually explicit material and profanity.Da vergeht einem schon richtig die Lust das buch zu lesen, und für den Preis den man bezahlt, erwartet man auch eine gewisse Qualität, die für mich hier nicht eingehalten wurde. I wish there would have been indicators before I was 40% through the book, but other than that it was a super cute grumpy/sunshine story. His new neighbor, who has no regard for her own safety, wakes up way too early, and seems to have made it her job to tempt him. All in all the MMC was a horrible rude guy who doesnt respect anyone and is just a bad human being all round. So even though she’s moving on, starting her own bakery on the Ocean View boardwalk, the mess that her father always seems to get himself into still is finding its way to her. Though I am not a fan of daddy kink this story kept me hooked the entire time and wanting to know what happened next.What is it with enemies to lovers trope and making out that the MFC is incapable of doing anything herself. Until early one morning he's woken up by what he thinks is an intruder only to find it's just his new neighbor. A heroine who is at risk of being attacked by a bookie because she’s forced to pay off her dad’s gambling debts? But what happens when the grumpy neighbor decides that it’s his job to keep her safe, even if she drives him insane? I know that its meant to be a repeating thing in the book that he keeps breaking into doors bc thats how they met but this is just creepy.

I'm a sucker for a particular type of scene in books (I won't say what it is coz I don't want to spoil it), but Morgan included it in Bittersweet and I loved it so much! And let me tell you this: Morgan told me her plans for the next book and it is AMAZING where she’s going with this series. Ben was a total ass this whole book, not once did he actually speak to Lola with a bit of fucking respect, and he continuously made comments about her not deserving her success because her Dad was a rich politician.I hated the politicians daughter and this whole mafia threat story line it was just confusing and i didnt care about it so it made the book boring. Out of the Ocean View Series characters, Ben is my favourite guy and Lola is very close with Gabi for being my fave girl. Now shes finally living her dream she has her own bakery but already trouble from her neighbor he's mad at her for all the noise she made when he's trying to sleep a tattoo artist needs sleep.
