Citrus oils from tropical oranges have been perfectly combined with exotic spices to create a rich and bold orange bitters. With its history in apothecary Peychaud’s Bitters has a strong authentic flavour which was originally dispensed as a medicinal tonic. It blends Caribbean orange peel and a range of spices including cinnamon, cardamom and cloves, and works a treat cocktails, particularly those with a rum or whisky base. It is created from sun-ripened, hand harvested Caribbean oranges, and provide an excellent accompaniment to vodka, gin, whisky, rum, savoury sauces, seafood dishes and chocolate. A massive success since their arrival in 2007, these orange bitters are only the second Angostura Bitters ever made since the appearance of the original bitters in 1824.
