Description

I sampled tins from Heinz, Sainsbury's, Tesco, Co-op, Asda, Asda Just Essentials, Branston, HP, and Aldi - here's what I thought. The flavour wasn't overwhelming and to me tasted much more like my idea of a classic baked bean, rather than the sweeter versions I had tried.

Recent years have seen baked bean pizzas, baked bean crisps, and the (albeit more niche) baked bean tequila shot - proving we'll incorporate beans into our diets by any means possible. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Very active - You exercise almost every day of the week doing high intensity training such as running, spinning, team or competitive sports.

This classic dish feels like home, stirring childhood memories of inhaling the dish in record time and inevitably spilling bean juice down your jumper in the process. Personally, I prefer a more solid bean to avoid the catastrophic bean mush when cooking, so these were a little on the soft side for me. We also offer retail jars of sweets and boxes of bars of chocolate including all the Great British chocolates found in the UK, Cadbury and Nestle. HP is perhaps one of the lesser-known brands when it comes to baked beans, so I didn't have any expectations when it came to trying them. The texture wasn't too bad compared to the more expensive versions, but I found they lacked flavour.

A cookie is a small file of letters and numbers that we put on your computer with your knowledge and consent. The tomato sauce tasted like pepper and onion - and a quick check revealed capsicum extract and onion as two of the main ingredients. The mini tin from Co-op reminded me that not only are beans affordable, they're relatively healthy (when consumed in moderation, and not by the kilogram. Reading the label on the HP tin it does say in the contents that their is 43% beans and the rest is made up of an insipid red coloured water. With all the leading British baby formula and ready to feed milk for export worldwide from Hipp, Aptamil, SMA and Cow and Gate. They can be eaten on their own, on toast or a jacket potato, or as a side with a main meal - baked beans really can do it all. For decades, baked beans have offered a quick and relatively healthy meal option which can be tucked away in the cupboard for months at a time. In the event of any safety concerns or for any other information about a product please carefully read any instructions provided on the label or packaging and contact the manufacturer. Having said that, if you're someone who doesn't like strong flavours, or if you plan to serve the beans with cheese or heavy seasoning, these are a great option.

Having purchased the pack of HP Baked Beans from Farm Foods and having thought I had got a bargain I cooked the beans following guidelines on the tin and put them on some nice buttered wholemeal toast. Quick disclaimer - I opted for small tins wherever possible, to avoid turning into a baked bean myself. The 103 third parties who use cookies on this service do so for their purposes of displaying and measuring personalized ads, generating audience insights, and developing and improving products. HP Beans - I have a very busy guest house in Coleshill, and have used HP Baked Beans always, but over the years I have noticed less and less beans and more and more runny sauce as found in cheaper beans, soon we will be paying per bean and not per tin.
