However, what I have come to find is that there’s a very thin line between being a powerful and fierce heroine and being aggressive and mean for no reason whatsoever. The stakes are higher than ever as they confront mythical beasts, malevolent gods, and personal sacrifices. you know in fantasy romance books when the main character goes through something life changing that sends her spiraling into hysterics something that has her sobbing crying and throwing up and then.

We don’t get much character development outside of Isolde’s, and I felt that even Adrian suffered a little bit from being under-developed, but sadly, most side characters got close to nothing. As I said before, while frustratingly stubborn and slow in accepting that some things are not as she thought, or in accepting her feelings towards the vampire she is to made to marry to save her people, St.There is stubbornness, there is doubt, and betrayal, but also some lovely comic relief and camaraderie, as well as several soft moments of feels. But it is what it is, and it regardless still worked for me because it had much more to offer as well.

Again, I had to go back and reread to see if she was dreaming, actually experiencing this, or just having a flashback. Adrian’s whole personality trait in here is that he’s supposedly violent and that he loves his wife. I just cannot describe or explain how she made me feel with the way she was always singing praises about her husband's body or constantly touching herself when he wasn't there.Adrian’s vassal (the one he was taking blood from since Isolde refused to let him drink from her) was trying to make Isolde jealous by talking about her “special” relationship with Adrian and of course, it worked and Isolde spent the rest of the book being jealous of the vassal, while the vassal spent the rest of the book lying and trying to make herself appear more important than she was (typical teenage drama). The sale of customised goods or perishable goods, sealed audio or video recordings, or software, which has been opened.

The sex scenes are repetitive (pull tab, insert in hole, repeat), and I noticed that once again, several serious conversations are happening while the characters are having sex. Hello again dear reader or listener, today I thought I’d share with you some of my thoughts on my latest fantasy romance read.Yeah I saw it had been a while, but I’m more of a consumer than a poster on insta so no judgment xD I wasn’t sure where else to ask because I didn’t want to post a spoilery comment! The latter is one of my absolute favorite romantasy books because it was brilliantly able to (in my opinion) balance the romance with a very engaging and intriguing plot. This did not read or feel like a work by a published, popular author, and felt exactly like something you’d read on fan fiction sites as a 13 year old, written by a 14 year old. It’s a pity because I liked almost all of them and was interested in learning more, but I guess we’ll see what happens in the next book! Adrian is not a bad character, and he didn't annoy me as Isolde did, but I am pretty indifferent to him.
