One thing I would point out (although minor I know) is that some people may mistake this book for his last as the covers are similar at a glance. I know this is minor but can’t help but feel it may make some people skim past it online, thinking they have already read it, which I certainly wouldn’t recommend! Wendy Gould and Laurita Velez are the two main characters in this new book and their worlds will become terrifyingly dangerous as the book starts as a pretty fast paced read from the get go!

This book overall to me was okay. I thought, without giving spoilers, that it was generally presented in a simplistic style and with its many twists and turns. This was good but nothing earth shattering. Lauritzia escaped from Mexico and is working as a nanny for a family she loves and who love her. She is going to school and has dreams of opening her own store one day. But her dreams are shattered with a shooting in the mall and she knows the bullets were meant for her. She wants to run to protect the family but they convince her to stay so they can help her. Wendy is abuot to have a one-night stand. At the last moment she decides that she can not go through with it. She is in tbe hotel bathroom when she hears voices arguing. There is another man in the room and he is holding a gun. The next thing, the man that Wendy was about to have sex with is shot and killed. Wendy acting on impluse shots the other man and then takes off running. Wendy goes into hiding trying to figure out a way to clear her name.

Later Mr Nicol tells Mrs Bransley who really took care of her and when they are arriving in port she swears to be a mum to Mary. As written, the book is really three different yet related books in one: (1) the major crisis, (2) the victim on the run, and (3) the metamorphosis and series setup. Wendy and her husband, Dave, had a spat last night and are still not speaking. She is meeting up with her friend, Pam, in a bar to have some drinks and to talk about it. Pam is running late and Wendy starts chatting with Curtis, who is also at the bar. Pam texts that she can't make it after all and Wendy ends up in Curtis' hotel room. Before it goes too far, Wendy stops things and goes into the washroom to freshen up. While she's in there, she sees a man come into Curtis' room and shoot him. To save herself, Wendy shoots the guy and ends up on the run when she is blamed for the murders.

Audrey's home in London, where she meets Daniel again, he being the Cypriot developer her parents are working with, and the man whom she met in Cyprus one night where she drunkenly landed in his lap at the restaurant where she was dining with her parents. He was a savior of sorts when he turned in her lost Louboutin, and thinking of her as Cinderella. So when he sees Audrey again at her parents' home, he's smitten all over again and pursues her with intensity. His intensity is intoxicating to Audrey and they begin a whirlwind relationship. But, he's got secrets and when those secrets bite him in the ass, will Audrey stay strong and stand by this man she barely knows? Or will she do something stupid and get herself in trouble? Jane tries to set up Mary by stealing Mrs Barnsley’s ring. They never speak again. Sarah has Viola and Mary discovers that she is being used by her supposed friend. I liked the writing was so British, I am based in the UK so familiar terms and language was really great. As of the characters, there are two female main characters. One I felt a little sympathy but the other one I could care less. Not a good sign when the reader is along for her adventure and is suppose to root for her. She irked me more than anything else.

The ins and outs of all the characters were well written and credible, although I started to dislike some of Audrey's friends the more I read. Audrey took chances and enjoyed herself but felt guilty afterwards - why? Her friends didn't feel guilty about what they did!! I really liked the sound of Audrey's new man Daniel until he lost his temper with her and although he wasn't violent, I was worried for her. He kept on buying her designer footwear too, wish I could find a man like him ;) To clear her name, Wendy has to unravel a complicated conspiracy to runs to the highest levels of the federal government.

I enjoyed Audrey's mum and dad. They reminded me of Emily and Richard Gilmore from the television series The Gilmore Girls. Audrey’s “friends” on the other hand are a varied bunch. I will let you decide which you like or not….. This thriller shows you how to write a thriller, great characters, great story and very cleverly bring the stories together, with some really great supporting roles for Harold and Roxanne, and some very nasty baddies. Meanwhile, Lauritzia Velez, a nanny, is also running away from some terrible events. Most of her family have been murdered by a gang, the Los Zetas. I do enjoy Kelly’s style of writing, it’s reader-friendly quite fast-paced where it needs to be and each character is memorable. Thriller. Wendy is a suburban mom. She gets in a fight with her husband, and plans to meet up with a girlfriend at the bar for drinks. Her friend doesn't show, and a cute man who's a great piano player starts flirting with her and buying her drinks. She's attracted to him.

It is about a poor English girl called Mary Wade who makes a mistake and steals some clothes and ends up in the filthiest prison of London where she is awaiting death by hanging. However her sentence is later changed and she is sent in a huge ship to Australia as a prisoner, where she begins a new life. This was a one sit read for me and I can't recommend it highly enough ,sleep, who needs it anyway ;0) .I just had to know how it would end ,and if Audrey would get her happy ever after ! I loved it! Mary says goodbye to England, after Mr Nicole finds her mums bible and tries to return it to her but they have moved on. Mary clings to it. She has some strange experiences on ship, she gets close to Sarah, Jane stops speaking to her, two babies are born and Mrs Barnsley has set herself up well.

Meanwhile in a seemingly different part of the world a young maid gets caught up in a pouring of violence. But she becomes terrified as she realizes this act is somehow tied to her past. To her it is coming to take her out once and for all. What a fascinating story, I could have continued reading from this story I’d of loved to have read the story of her settling in Australia properly. Wow so so interesting and so different.

Audrey has a lovely support group of friends and family which hold many keys to this story . The sub-characters themselves experience many trials and tribulations in their own lives. Some of these moments in her friends lives were quite emotive, dealing with serious issues and the author dealt with these concerns in a sensitive manner. It's a book that contains a fairly large number of characters who all had their own sub plots going on, and at times I found it slightly confusing as to who knew what about which incident, but on the whole all the various goings on added to the attraction of the book, and meant there was never a boring moment.
