About this deal

We are often asked to supply 'before & after' images to show how effective Revive Turbo Cleaner is, but we have always been a bit reluctant to because we would prefer our customers to do this to give it undisputed credibility, but due to workshops time related pressures which can appreciate, this doesn't happen as often as we would like. Turbo cleaning products are found in many varieties, the most common and widely available being pour-in or spray additives. Both can be used at home, without lots of specialist tools or knowledge. This can potentially save owners thousands on garage services, without the car leaving the driveway. Turbo Cleaning Pour-in Fuel Additive

The solution we are discussing today offers VW owners, and other diesel owners hope of an easier way. The Revive Turbo Cleaner is a water based non-toxic, non-flammable, substance that is sprayed into the intake of the turbo and goes through you engine clinging to the carbon deposits, breaking them loose, and remove them from the engine. Loads easier than removing the turbo.

Technical Data

Leave your turbo neglected for long enough, and the soot built-up can sap a significant amount of power, or worse, seize the turbo altogether. Spray Revive in 3 doses of 250ml into the intake, 1st with the engine running at 2200 RPM, next at 1800 RPM, stop the engine for 3 minutes, re-start the engine then finally at 2000 RPM. The acceleration has since improved and the car definitely has more pulling power through the gears. I have covered approximately 400 miles since the treatment at 77000 miles and there has been an improvement in the engine's economy. When accelerating hard from low speeds the exhaust no longer smokes like it used to. I'm very happy with the Revive product and would be happy to recommend it to other diesel drivers. Made and tested in Britain, Ecomotive’s additive line has been steadily growing since the company’s beginnings in 2010. Ecomotive operate with very modern business aims, to reduce their environmental impact, improve safety and highly research all products before manufacture. The aim of all their products is to enable customers to better maintain their vehicle and achieve optimum performance and fuel economy.

Cleaning your turbo is optional, but should not be neglected as deposits will build up. It doesn’t matter how you drive your car, but if you wait until you have turbo problems, you run the risk of incurring damage to your vehicle.Since VW introduced the ALH motor in 98 with the New Beetle and 99.5 With the Jetta/Golf the VNT or Variable Nozzle Turbo (also called Variable Vane Turbo) we have had issues with carbon buildup in our engines and turbos. The normal route to take care of the problem, such as on a mk4, is to take the turbo off of the vehicle, take it apart, and then clean the carbon buildup out of the vanes by hand. I have done this process numerous times and it is a pain. Removing the bolts that keep the turbo together can be nearly impossible. I was having the occasional turbo not learned and turbo over boost code plus my turbo was always cycling the veins (I mean like every time I stopped at a light hot or cold when I started it hot or cold just ALWAYS) and would not hit 30 pound of boosts anymore and my mileage was terrible.

GDI engines present their own issues which are beyond the scope of this list, but if you have a turbocharged GDI engine, we recommend going with the CRC cleaner. Below is our list of the best turbo cleaners you can get for both diesel and gas engine turbocharged vehicles. The pour-in products are added directly to the fuel tank. There are also spray cleaners for both diesel and gasoline engines, but they require a little more work than the pour-in option as you have to spray at the inlet hose of the turbo itself.Revive is a safe water based, non toxic, non corrosive and non flammable fluid, using technology developed and used for the cleaning and maintenance of aviation jet engines, power station turbines, large marine diesel engines and now automotive engines. As mentioned above, Wynn’s have spent their many years in the industry vastly expanding their product portfolio. This means that they have also ventured into the spray turbo cleaner market, understanding the need for a more direct product aimed at those with the know-how and time to implement such a product. Avoid this headache by using the CRC cleaner, helping ensure the valves and/or turbo do not become bogged down with carbon and other debris. It calls for a more involved procedure compared to other turbo cleaners on this list, requiring you to warm up the engine then spray the throttle body repeatedly until the bottle is empty, revving it to a specific RPM, letting the engine idle, rest, then driving it for up to 10 minutes at highway speeds. Firstly no smoke, starting in the mornings and accelerating away on the motorway are smoke free. The acceleration from 50-70 MPH is stronger even carrying a heavy passenger load, you can certainly notice the difference!

The product is safe for use in all diesel and petrol engines, while Ecomotive recommends using the spray around every 3000 miles to keep parts clean and issues to a minimum.Removes carbon from inside diesel or petrol engines, including both turbo and non turbo. The removed carbon allows for restored power, economy and reduces emissions. The CRC turbo cleaner spray is different from the others on this list. It is meant to be applied to the throttle body in the engine bay rather than at the turbo’s inlet hose. It cleans both the intake valves and the turbo. Simple to apply and massive in potential gains, turbo cleaners are a product that is becoming ever more relevant in today’s modern era of turbocharged engines. Nearly all performance cars of the last 5 years have come fitted with a turbo, while you will struggle to find a diesel vehicle without one made in the last decade. Trying one of these inexpensive turbo cleaning products could not only save you thousands in garage repair bills, but should give any turbo-powered vehicle an entirely new lease on life.
